Team Advia really knows how to bring holiday cheer to members and the community!
Over the past few weeks, we have watched our local branches transform into Angel Tree collection sites. It is easy to see that the tree doesn’t just represent the holidays, it means that Advia and its members will bring joy to area families struggling to put gifts under their tree. Over 500 toys were donated to the Salvation Army in both Michigan and Wisconsin for local families! Thank you to all who participated!
In addition to our Angel Tree toy drive, staff members from Elkhorn, Burlington and Silver Lake partnered with the Lake Geneva Jaycees to provide gifts to children in the Walworth County Head Start program. Advia proudly matched the donation from the Jaycees which provided toys and clothes to over 100 children.
Even with busy holiday schedules, many Advia employees will find time to volunteer in the community. Throughout December, staff used nearly 300 paid ACTION (Advancing Community Ties In Our Neighborhoods) volunteer hours to make an impact in the communities we serve. Approximately 100 staff members volunteered their time at the Salvation Army Toy Shop assisting families in need choose gifts for the holidays. This is just another way we are living the “people helping people” credit union philosophy.
Team Advia has done a stellar job driving our mission during the holiday season by advancing lives in our communities. We will continue to stay connected, keeping people at our core, as we enter into the new year!
